This organization-authored note preserves the stated evidence and limits. It is not a product endorsement or an available-capability claim.
Support attaches to an exact unit
Manufacturers often reuse a product name across regions, power supplies, radios, chipsets, and later hardware revisions. GardenSeer records the manufacturer SKU or MPN, hardware revision, sales region, certification region, power variant, and known aliases before it makes a support claim.
A replacement model starts as a new candidate. It does not inherit compatibility because its name, enclosure, or marketing page resembles a tested model.
Evidence comes before the label
The lab record identifies how the unit was acquired, the protocol version used by the test, the installed firmware, authentication requirements, observed local and cloud behavior, limitations, and the dates of full and smoke tests. GardenSeer-owned notes and images remain separate from retailer copy.
The public status can be verified, verified with limits, retest required, incompatible, or unknown. A model is not supported merely because its protocol appears on a specification sheet.
- Verify identity, region, hardware revision, and power variant.
- Exercise the interfaces GardenSeer actually depends on.
- Record firmware, failure behavior, and repeatable limitations.
- Review security advisories and relevant manufacturer changes.
- Publish only the conclusion supported by the evidence.
Compatibility and promotion are separate decisions
A compatible product may remain supported without being promoted. Purchase links depend on a valid exact-model destination, current regional availability, an approved affiliate property, current program terms, and the required disclosures.
GardenSeer suspends promotion immediately for a mismatched destination, silent revision, compatibility regression, relevant unresolved security advisory, discontinuation, confirmed unavailability, or overdue required verification. The historical report stays visible, but its purchase call to action is removed until a human review supports reactivation.
